Let Me Introduce to You…
My dad.
As I remember him.
He had a photo shoot that day. The local paper was doing a story about the new businesses that had taken up shop in an old historical bank building, his being one of them.
The more I look at the picture, the funnier it gets for some reason. I don’t have too many “newer” shots of him so I cherish the ones I do have.
He was always an impeccable dresser. His shoes were always shiny. His hair was always slicked back. Always. His socks always matched his belt. I can take partial credit for all of the above :) He would always come to ask me for help with his outfit. Regardless of what he may have thought looked good, he always went with what I said. That’s one way to make a little girl feel special.
He doesn’t look very intimidating here but he stood at a tall 6’6”, intimidating to many, not to me. To me, a tall gentle giant with such a caring heart. He always put others first and was so kind.
I chose to put this picture up today and not yesterday because I don’t just remember him on his birthday. I remember him every day. He was a great man and he’ll always live on with me, yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Great picture and great memories.
That is so sweet. And, such a great picture. When I read things like this I always call my dad and remind him that I love him.
What a wonderful photo of him, so relaxed and handsome.
Dads have a way of making their daughters feel special…it is evident that he did that for you.
What a wonderful photo and lovely words for your father! Isn’t being Daddy’s little girl special?!
That is a great picture of your dad. He looks so handsome! I’m sure he is looking down on you with pride and love.
xoxo
