*UPDATE* B’s Birthday Dinner

Well I told you all about my horrible disaster of a dinner on the 11th at Longhorn Steakhouse… and I told you all about my email in response to the dinner… Well here’s the latest update!

I received a phone call fromĀ  Sheri Thomson, the Director of Operations at Longhorn Steakhouse, to go over my email that I had written yesterday with me. I have never had such great customer service! She was cheerful and delightful and that made me cheerful as well. She didn’t over apologize for the dinner but she did apologize and it felt like a truthful one at that. We talked about how important the locals are to businesses, especially in the off season and that she really appreciates us already going to her establishment as locals and not just tourists looking for a place to eat. After the questions were asked and answered we made some small chit-chat and then the kicker… she told me that she would be sending me a nice lil goody in the mail to “more than make up for” our dinner! Why isn’t all customer service as delightful to deal with as this was!?! I’m sure that tomorrow I will go to the mailbox in anticipation of this “goody” even though I know it won’t be there. ;)
