Thankfulness

I am a very thankful person. I have much to be thankful for. I try to always find delight in the little things… they start to add up and soon my day is filled with many blessings!

I’m thankful for the preserve that our back yard faces. I hear birds chirping and see the sun shining through the pine trees. I love seeing the solidago tips hanging over the fence. It makes my back yard feel like more of a peace maker.

I’m thankful for my lil Miss Marlee pawing at the side of the bed when the weather starts to get cooler. Having a snuggle buddy in the shape of a four legged animal come winter time is always welcome under the covers. It makes it a whole lot easier to fall back asleep.

I’m thankful for my washer and dryer that can hold a king size comforter, 2 sheets and 2 pillow cases… and how clean they come out. I love the feeling of sliding into a bed that’s completely clean.

I’m thankful for my daughter (gck-1) being able to hold her poo in all night. I have yet to go into her room in the morning and find a poo filled diaper. This is seriously something that I am incredibly thankful for.

I’m thankful for the times that B takes out the trash without me telling him. It doesn’t happen often as this whole cleaning up after himself seems to be a new phenomenon that just started when we first began dating. By the time our 10 year anniversary comes around, I’m hoping that I’ll never have to even say the word trash.

I’m thankful that gck-1 doesn’t have a body that requires her to only wear pampers or huggies diapers. This has saved me so much money which I then can turn around and spend on her clothes :)

I am thankful for my new side by side refrigerator that has a top shelf dedicated just to diet coke. All is well when there is Diet Coke in our house!

I’m thankful that my mom is just a phone call away. It makes living 1125.05 miles away from her a little easier to grip.

I’m thankful that I stopped by the lot that has the 2 horses and a donkey on it down the street when the owner was there. I look forward to taking carrots and apples to them every weekend. It’s such a delight to see them doing so well.

And lastly… (for now…) I am so incredibly thankful for the beach that we have just down the street. Every night God blesses us with such a great gift in the form of a beautiful sunset and I am so thankful that He does.

Do you have something out of the ordinary that you are thankful for?

I am thankful that I am still able to work (even if it requires 70 hours a week) and that my kids adjust well when I go on and come off a crazy schedule.

Don’t count on the trash thing just happening. My husband and I have been together for 9 years and he forgets after I remind him to take the trash to the curb. I currently have an overflowig recycle bin and no pick up for a whole week!

Well happy 9 years to you :) and that wasn’t the news I wanted to hear about the trash! I was hoping you’d say you trained your husband!
I am very thankful that I am able to work as well, especially in this rough time America is seeing. And I have an added bonus of working at the same company that my husband does so we get to take our lunches together and it saves gas only having to drive to one place!
      Happy Thanksgiving!
