Last year in December, I was wearing tee’s, skirts, and flip flops. In December!

Hate me hate me whaaaatever.

But it was a fluke. And no, I’m not lying.

The year before and before and before etc… frost. Frost! A couple days before Christmas there was frost on the ground and we actually needed to wear our winter jackets and fuzzy scarves and the flip flops were put away.

We were eating chili and homemade chicken dumpling soup and filling the tops of our mugs completely with marshmallows to bury the hot chocolate.

But last year, I was actually pretty disappointed that we were still drinking lemonade through straws and eating marshmallows by themselves.

 

You see, I have a love affair with the chillier weather. Forget snow though. Like seriously, snow’s for the birds. But wearing tights with knee high socks and tucking them into boots and wrapping up in big chunky cable knit sweaters and scarves! Sipping Pumpkin Spice Lattes every day with a nice warm scone to nibble at on the side. Adding that extra blanket to the bed for an even cozier nights sleep…*le sigh*

I’m hoping that the leaves that have actually started to change colors now instead of in December are a sign, a glorious October sign that all things pumpkin will be eaten this year. If not, you’re welcome for the delicious collection of all things pumpkin below.
