Sewing, Mangoes and Smoothie a Day
First things first… I finished sewing my laptop case last night. I was definitely not in the right state of mind to sew because I somehow managed to make enough for two 17 inch monitor Macs. Well sorta. If I made the leftovers into it’s own case, it will definitely fit a 15 and 16 inch monitored laptop but I think another 17 inch one would be pushin’ it. I’ll probably finish making the extra one tonight or tomorrow night. I have a full day today! I was also up early finishing my sets of cards for my extra winners from the sms giveaway. I love being crafty at the very start of my morning. I feel most creative and love just getting lost in a whole ‘nother world.
I can’t put pictures up right this second… my battery on my camera has died. Go figure. It’s charging right now so you’ll see my horrible camera skills later tonight. But if you look closely at my smoothly down there… it’s sitting on top of the case. I looooove the fabric that I used. I needed to use the fabric for something that I would see every day because it’s so pretty and it’s screams “ME!”
My garden has surprised me overnight. I have no idea how I missed this beautiful sweet banana pepper. It’s about 5 inches long! Seriously, how did I miss him? I have no idea when to pick him. For now, he’s staying put. Do I have to pickle them to make them sweet or are the just naturally sweet?
Aren’t my tomatoes beautiful as well? I have so many of them and they make me smile. Especially since no bugs have found them yet!
I bought some mangos last night. A lot of you already know this but I’ve never had a mango. I didn’t even know that you’re not suppose to eat the skin! Are they too ripe to eat? They all looked like the ones I got so it’s not like I had a huge variety to choose from.
My smoothie today did not turn out like I had planned. I’m somewhat of an impatient person and I knew I should’ve given the kiwi a couple more days on the counter but I didn’t. My ingredients were… 1 large banana, 1 small banana, 1 cup fresh strawberries, 1/2 cup pink lemonade, 1 cup raspberry yogurt, 1/2 cup canned sliced peaches, 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, 1 kiwi, and 3/4 cup crushed ice. I was trying to go tropical again but I think I just added way too many ingredients to achieve what I wanted. Tomorrow I’ll make a really simple one.
Please enjoy your weekend! B just bought a smoker so we’ll be having ribs in a couple hours! I cannot wait! Let’s just hope they turn out as good as my belly wants them too!
Warm beachy hugs for all!

Your tomatoes are beautiful! I’ve been wanting to plant a garden but, my husband doesn’t think I’ll take care of it…maybe just a small tomato plant :-)
I don’t know much about mangoes either, I know I don’t like them plain but, they’re good mixed in things like smoothies.
Oh I am so jealous that you ar having ribs! Enjoy…should be great with a side of Mango.
Your tomatoes are beautiful!! Ours are stll so tiny.
I love LOVE love LOVE banana peppers. I will try those next year.
I don’t care for mangos alone…but I do love mango salsa. It is the best.
You do it just like regular salsa, but switch the ‘maters out for mango. YUMMILICIOUS.
Love the idea of adding pink lemonade and raspberry yogurt with that fruit combination to make today’s smoothie! Banana peppers are just naturally sweet, so you should be able to just eat them off the vine. They are so tasty on a sandwich or wrap. Looking forward to seeing your laptop case! I have fabrics cut out to make mine, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Maybe I need a Friday night sew-in to get it done.
