Out the Door Smoothie
A really easy smoothie recipe. Ingredients include:
1 banana, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 3/4 cup canned sliced peaches, 1/2 cup canned pineapple tidbits, 1/3 cup pear juice and 1/2 cup crushed ice. Makes 2 medium smoothies.
The peaches were added to make the smoothie a little more sweet tasting and they really helped. The pineapple was a little strong in flavor but I didn’t really mind. Perfect smoothie for when you’re running out the door. I did have to hold on to the bottom of the blender again though. Seems all these smoothies I’ve been making makes for a blender that likes to move all over the place. Not safe! I wonder if the good folks over at Sunbeam know about this little issue.
And we’re out of straws so all I’ve been able to use lately is these cheap ones that I got at Target for $1. It’d be great if they weren’t made for little kids. Little kids sip their drinks through tiny holes. Big kids (me) like to gulp their drinks down with big holed straws.
