Smoothie a Day

Talk about a berry filling smoothie ;) Like that. Me and my sense of smoothie humor! I forgot that I had some beautiful fresh blackberries that needed to be used up before they went bad so this morning’s smoothie was a tribute to the blackberry. My ingredients were very, very simple… 1 banana, 3/4 cup fresh strawberries, 1/2-3/4 cup fresh blackberries, about 1/2 cup of apple juice, about 5-6 oz of blackberry/pomegranate yogurt and about 3/4 crushed ice.

I’m not going to lie… it was a little hard to drink. Well, it was a little hard to drink in  one sitting. It was very very acidic. It still tasted really good but it was just a little harder to down the whole thing in a minute… not like I ever do that. I like to sip mine.

And now for an amazing update on my garden.

These are my “big husky” tomatoes. They are a little larger than a quarter. Um… big? husky? I’m lost… but they are delicious :)

How’s your garden coming along? Any pictures that you’d like share? I’d like to see them if you’d like to share them. I’ll even post them if you’d like :) I’m in a sharing mood… speaking of… I’m having a giveaway on June 1st. Come back. Enter. Smile.

I’m off to watch B play some football. First game that I’ve seen and it’s the playoffs. I feel bad. That’s why we’re going to go cheer him on. Pictures to follow of course!

um, yeah. It snowed here on Monday, so I’m thinking my tomatoes are done for. So very sad. Yours look, beautiful though!

  2. Your tomatoes look amazingly delicious from here, and I can just imagine eating them. *Yum* Your smoothies are always so inspirational and devouring too! I’m quite impressed with how you make one every day. How long have you been going for?
There is no garden at this end, though I do have some vegetable seeds to plant at my partners house. (Him having the bigger workable garden and all)
