In a Rush Smoothie

Friday’s are the best days of the week… if you’re a working woman. Friday mornings however, not so much. It always seems like we’re just two steps behind on our Friday mornings. I was busy being crafty, gck-1 was busy jingle jangling my keys, B is still under the weather. But we all got to work on time. Just on time.

Right before we head out the door I ask B if he’s going to eat something. 1 minute later as I’m opening the door I hear, “How about a smoothie?” I can’t turn down his requests. Ever. So I made one. And my blender hated me for it. Good thing I didn’t walk away from it while it was “liquefying” because the crazy thing would’ve fallen off the counter! The thing was vibrating and shaking so much and I was kinda scared to even put my hand on it to hold it in fear that it might blow off my hand. But surprisingly, the smoothie was amazing. Aren’t blenders suppose to last longer than 3 months?

Today’s rushed smoothie ingredients included the following:
1 Package Yoplait Triple Berry Smoothie Mix, 1 small banana, 1/3 cup frozen blueberries, 2/3 cup frozen strawberries and 1 1/2 cups 1% milk (gasp! I was out of skim!)

I’m really glad that B asked for a smoothie because I really liked it! Even gck-1 kept calling it yummy and was asking for more and more on her way to daycare. It was a little on the thick side again. Not the thickest I’ve made but it wasn’t as easy to just suck down like it normally is. That’s ok. I enjoyed it the entire commute to work. I love that the yogurt is already added in the mix because it tastes less yogurt-y to me.

In other news, my strawberry candy day lilies have decided to bloom again. I thought that something had eaten them at first because I couldn’t find them. Hard to miss flowers right!? Well they had fallen over because they were so heavy. I had to kinda lean them against the previous blooms’ stem to keep them somewhat upright. I hope they get a little stronger!
