Smoothie a Day
Alright so here it is… a little late in the day, I apologize. And the hello kitty thermos… that’s gck-1′s. I made her lunch at the same time as the smoothie. I’m not always the best multi-tasker but hey, I’m getting the hang of it ;)
Today’s smoothie included the following ingredients:
1 banana, about 1/4 cup fresh blackberries, about 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, a package yoplait frozen smoothie mix-strawberry, mango, banana, about 3/4 cup skim milk, and about 3/4 cup crushed ice.
Have you ever tried the Yoplait Smoothie Mix? It looks like this:
I’ve had them many many times. You can find them in your frozen fruit section. You just add one cup of milk and blend and then, ta-da! You’ll have a smoothie. I, personally, think they taste kinda funny that way. But if you’re like me, and you sometime find yourself without a lot of fruit in the house to make a regular smoothie… these are lifesavers. Just use what you have on hand and then add a package of this and you’re ready to roll. Just remember to add some sort of liquid, whether it’s milk or orange juice or apple juice otherwise you’ll have a super thick smoothie that requires a spoon to “drink.” Now that’s just too much work!
