Smoothie a Day
To make up for the other days incredibly not sweet smoothie, I made one that was indeed sweet. Sweet and tropical. I’m on a tropical kick right now so bear with me! It has to be because summer has officially arrived and it’s hotter than the dickens down here. Ok so I don’t know exactly what that means but it kinda sounded like I did right?!
Today’s tropical ingredients include the following:
1/2 cup crushed ice, 1 package Yoplait Smoothie Mix – Strawberry Mango Pineapple, 1 15oz can of tropical fruit mix (contains pineapple chunks, white, red and yellow papaya chunks) and 1/2 cup of Mango Orange Fuze drink. Makes 2 medium smoothies.
If there was a way that I could make every smoothie be the consistency that this smoothie was, I would be one incredibly happy smoothie drinker! All the flavors of the smoothie blended so well that not a single one overpowered the others. And for those of you who don’t like yogurt, you couldn’t taste it in this smoothie. And no I’m not lying just to get you to eat your yogurt! You really couldn’t tell that it was in it. I’ve had some people say that they don’t like to add ice to their smoothies. The reason behind my ice is that I like smoothies cold. Ice cold. I like them to cool me off because seriously, as soon as I open my front door, a wave of 90-100 degree hot humid air hits me smack in the face. That and the fact that I always thought smoothies were suppose to be cold anyways. And I think it helps create the consistency that I like in a smoothie. You don’t have to add ice to yours. Totally a personal choice.
Have a smoothie idea that you’d like to run by me? Have you tried any of my smoothies and would like to tell me what you thought of it? I’d love to hear what you have to say! Happy smoothie making everyone!
