Are These Edible?

Because they’re growing over the fence… and I think they want to eat my hibiscus so if they are edible, I’d like to eat them before they eat her. Either way, they weren’t planted by me. Obviously. Who would plant such beauties on the other side of the fence and not in their garden!? Bottom line, will I die if I eat these?

Pretty sweet peas you have growing there. Despite their name, they are not edible in the least. Just pretty flowers on plants that can climb and cling and fall in lovely waves over fences and walls and backroad ditches. Edible peas usually have white or maybe slightly pinkish flowers. I’ve heard about a newer variety of edible pea that has purple pods and purple flowers, but haven’t seen any in person before.
Wish I could help….I have NO clue if they are edible or not! If you have a county Ag. office they might be able to identify them for you. Good Luck:)
Happy Tuesday
Found the same kind of beans on a bank below some cliffs. ..First time I had ever seen a bean in the wild…but there they were…googled to see if I could see a picture and there it is…thanks
