Marigolds, Sunflowers, and Gardens
After doing a little more research on my lovely little garden, I have found that planting marigolds by it will turn insects away. The super strong smell that they give off masks the wonderful sweet smell that your veggies will give off. Perfect! I actually really like the smell of marigolds. It takes me back to my kiddie years when my mom and I would plant them in our front yard. Somehow mine always lived! Guess I’ve had a green thumb for some time now ;)
So all you gardeners out there… plant some marigolds! Your garden will thank you. If you don’t like marigolds (learn to! just kidding, well kinda) you can always plant some petunias or some sunflowers.
Have a fantastic weekend! Go out there and get some sun!

i have heard this about marigolds…and I like the smell of them too! I have also heard are great to keep mosquitos away…which I hate!!!
I planted a lot of flowers near my garden hoping to attract bees to help with the pollination of the veggies. We will see…
