*Sigh*
You know what I did yesterday?
I took lots of pictures of my garden and sang to the plants. I’m not lying. I sing to them every weekend. I think some like it and some don’t. My peppers… not so much. Not really any growth whatsoever from them. Same with the basil. Am I even going to get any basil this season?! And the cukes… they must have really hated my singing because they’re already dead. But the lettuce and carrots and cauliflower and parsley and potatoes and broccoli all seem to love my singing :) Maybe I need to pick a better selection of songs like “I’m Walking on Sunshine,” or “All You Need is Love.”
Marlee, my bestest bud with 4 legs
Red Potatoes
Red Potatoes
Marlee is the protector of the carrots!
Husky Red Tomatoes :)
Parsley
Crisp Lettuce
Doesn’t it just look delicious!
Yellow Peppers (none of my peppers are growing!)
Cauliflower
Broccoli
My Basil seems to also be affected by my singing ;)
Thought of my sister in law when I took this picture. She’ll always taking such imaginative pictures.
Marigolds
I did not however, get to my BIG projects like the paintings or the chalkboard for gck-1′s room. It was such a beautiful day out and the sun was calling my name. So while she napped and B napped, I also accidentally napped… while in the sun. A little bit of sun didn’t hurt anyone right?! I did manage to run to JoAnn Fabrics before gck-1 woke up and grab some of this and that and a couple yards of cute fabric for me and gck-1.
Today I’m going to a Mary Kay party. Never been. Not too excited to lather on products because of the sun I got from my accidental nap but my friend is getting married and she’s such a blast to hang out with so I’ll join her, sun burn ‘an all!

How about: “You are my Sunshine, my only Sunshine”.
This made me laugh.
I am also having issues with peppers. Bell and jalepeno. Whatever…
Love your watering can photo..so cute.
Your garden really looks nice, you should be proud.
I have some carrots started: Purple haze. They are still in pots now…I hope some survive to the ‘ground moving.’
