B and I got married on 10-10-09 and one of my most favorite gifts that we received was from his Aunt V. She made us this incredible quilt. I mean incredible.

There have only been a handful of nights that I haven’t been able to use it and that’s only because we were out of town!

The colors are brilliant. The patches of shells and starfish are perfect. And the blue thread that she turned into waves to quilt it all together has such a special touch. And best of all… it’s king sized! YES!

It’s one of the only two quilts we have in the house. Both quilts are from his Aunt V. The other is a quilt she made for gck-1. The edges are starting to fray just a little because for about a year, that’s all she wanted to sleep with! A sure sign of love!

I really wish I wasn’t so afraid of quilting! But thankfully Aunt V makes up for that for me ;) I hope you’re reading this Aunt V. and that you know just how much I love and cherish this quilt!
