In Progress… a DIY Ruffle Curtain

My dear friend Kashoan (Krafty Kash) sent me some lovely vintage sheets a little while ago. Gorgeous things. They made my heart skip a beat. But as I was folding them and putting them away I can’t help but daydream what I’ll use them for.

For pouches?

For clutches?

Maybe a ruffle bag?

But this one sheet out of all of them, this beautiful sheet filled with these beautiful pink roses everywhere really made my mind trail off to la-la land.

And then it hit me.

Curtains.

1/2/3/4

You see my office windows are like the other 95% of the windows in my house in that they have no curtains! Blinds. Plain, white, boring blinds are there but no curtains.

I once thought black and white striped curtains would look good there and I still think they would, but they wouldn’t be anywhere near as gorgeous as a pair of ruffled curtains with each layer using a different vintage sheet.

So they are next on my sewing list. And by next I mean after I sew some new ruffle bags and dresden clutches and even a super new product :) But the idea is there and I’m excited to do them and that excitement makes me want to tackle these other things quickly!
