New Art from Old

Have some old art laying around collecting dust? Then this is perfect to give that art a brand new beautiful life! All you need is that old art, some sticker letters, a ruler, and some spray paint. It will literally take you less than 2 hours to complete!!

I used this idea/tutorial but modified it slightly (mainly because I’m not patient enough to wait for paint to dry).

I bought these stickers from Hobby Lobby. And then realized that I only had enough to get through 1 sentence and then I’d have to either cover the entire thing or buy more stickers. They were $3.99 a pack. I bought 2. I’d need like 5 more and they had 1. And they were now closed and I didn’t have the patience to wait until the next day to finish what I’ve now started.

So I went to Wally World and found these awesome foam stickers for $3.88 a pack. They had 2 which was absolutely perfect.

I used my ruler to space out the letters. About 2.25 inches between the sentences.

I didn’t have enough of the foam letters to do the entire thing so I had to use a couple of the other ones.

And then spray painted…

and spray painted…

and spray painted…

So say good-bye to this:

and hello to this!

I LOVE it!

If you don’t know the lyrics, they’re from “Killing Me Softly” which just so happens to be “our song”. Even though it hangs in my office where I see it every day, I love my husband and wanted to be reminded of us, our relationship, our love, our everything while he’s away. Lovely don’t you think?
