I was quite the busy momma over the weekend. And my head is still running in circles with what still needs to be accomplished this weekend. Here are some pictures recapping what took place this weekend: (actually it all took place Saturday. Sunday was a rainy day so I literally spent all day giggling with gck-1 in between washing & scrubbing & sorting & etc.)

I was going to do just one wall with diamonds covering the whole thing but after I re-arranged some furniture, the wall I thought would look okay, no longer did but I still wanted some diamonds so I thought that since we have such high ceilings that putting them all around as a border would make the walls seem less towering.

I spent about 20 minutes in this corner. I had drawn out the measurements for the diamonds but those went out the door when I started to tape and realized that things just weren’t working out. 20 minutes to figure out why my diamonds were a little abstract looking and then it just kinda clicked. I think gck-1 also contributed to the 20 minutes by asking for “stick” (stickers) over and over again. Blue painters tape is an amazing fake sticker. Super easy to get off anything!

And yes that is one little diamond in the corner. I’m not the best measurer! ;)

That’s all her stuff moved to the middle so I could fit the ladder. And then I realized that her closet really needed a little updating as well. So everything must come out!

About half of this stuff needs to go on craigslist asap!

This is the color after 1 coat of paint. It definitely dried a little darker. I was shooting for only 1 coat but because the finish of the sage green color from what I can remember is satin, the paint didn’t stick too well so a second coat was needed.

There’s that 20 minute corner again! It’s actually now my favorite!

I’m incredibly happy with the measurements of the diamonds. They turned out perfectly!

I think she needs more shoes ;)

I already have a crafty idea for something(s) blue to hang down above her tree tent. And those curtains need to go. Actually they just need to go in the closet as “doors.” But I can’t take them down until I find a replacement… or even better, until I make replacements :)
