Look at paint chips at all hours of the day and night in whatever room you decide to paint. That gorgeous blue-gray you picked out… could indeed be a green-gray in disguise! Lesson learned!
The guest bathroom finally got the makeover it deserved, without having to repaint my green-gray walls. Decorating in this room has kinda had a very slow moving progress. First came the paint. Then came some green towels and a leftover tan rug. And that’s as far as it got for the last year. Yes… year.
And then a somewhat horrible thing happened, gck-1 got sick. Yes, horrible because she was sick but YES! because I tend to do nothing but clean clean clean when we’re home together. And I remembered seeing this super awesome shower curtain at Target…
and away we go!

These were wedding gifts from my brother and sister-in-law when B and I were in their wedding. B’s (left one) is all about football and computers. Mine (right one) is all about laying out and shopping. Suits us perfectly!

That’s the awesome shower curtain. Some people don’t like buying from Walmart or Target because thousands of other people might have the same things in their home. The way I look at it, if someone buys that same shower curtain and it brings them as much joy as it does me, then who cares! I love it!

Besides, everyone has different styles and no one has the same house. And I still think it’s awesome. ;)

This is also awesome. And it’s my new favorite piece in the house.
I made it.
It took me like 10 minutes tops but that was only because I had painted the canvas previously.
Want to make one for your house? They’re really easy. I mean like super super easy. I’ll show you how over the weekend as I make a couple more for our bedroom. But I’ll tell you what you need so you have it all handy to go… a canvas frame, some leftover paint, fabric scraps and some iron on adhesive (I used Heat n’ Bond Ultrahold which you can find at Wal-mart or any other craft store). So go grab your supplies and I’ll see you back here soon!
