Inspiration Workshop: The Beach

It’s that time of week again! I’m really excited for this weeks inspiration workshop hosted by Maggie from Gussy Sews. Just what is this “inspiration workshop”? It’s where she gives us a prompt and we let our creative brain go crazy and post how we interpret it. It’s so much fun to see how one prompt can make so many different wheels turn in so many different heads!

This weeks inspiration prompt is… the beach! Talk about an easy one for me! But I wanted to do something a little differently. Instead of showing you pictures of the beach right down the street, or my cute little gck-1 kickin’ the waves like I always do, like this…

I took the challenge to think outside the box and show you a different kind of beach.

(my adorable niece)

Pebble Beach is just south of Little Sister Bay in beautiful Door County, Wisconsin.

Pebble Beach is very unique in the fact that there are only 4 beaches in the world that are like it. You see, there’s no sand here. That’s right… no sand. In it’s place are these incredibly smooth limestone pebbles. If you like to skip stones, this is the place to go!

I’ve only been a couple times… as in two. Once for my sister-in-law’s bachelorette party and once again on their wedding day for pictures. Wish I lived closer because it’s absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks Maggie for making me think outside the box this time!

Well it’s very pretty, but we have lots of pebble beaches in the UK, sorry! I can think of more than 4 off the top of my head that are within an hour of me… Hellish disappointing when you’re a kid hearing you’re going to the beach, you arm yourself with a bucket and spade and… no sand, boo! lol
