YES!
When I first saw this post called Song Lyric Wall Art, I thought it was super awesome and I wished I had a piece of art that I could make new. She takes an old picture, puts some letter stencils/stickers on top, paints over removes the stickers and viola! Gorgeous no?
Anyway, I filed it away in my head and probably on pinterest and hoped that I would find some art at Goodwill. Fat chance. There have yet to be any big art pieces that are under $30… at Goodwill!! Crazy I know. It’s Goodwill. Come on!
But then this, this picture that has been hanging for like um 2 years just staring at me… (and yes, I can’t stand it so much that I make my dogs lay underneath it!)
it’s going to finally get finished!
I’m going to use her tutorial and turn it into a piece that I am no longer ashamed to look at. I’ll have to go get the supplies, and it might take me a little while to think of a lyric or poem or saying that I like and that’s big enough and long enough to fit on it but once I do, YES!!! I mean, I’ll update you ;)
Any new crafts that you’re working on? Have you seen this one before?

My current “big” project is collecting quirky picture frames that I am going to be superglueing together, sans the backs, so I have this awesome conglomeration of blank glass space. Oh yeah, and taking the glass out to spray paint all the frames black gloss, then putting them back in. :o) Once I’ve got the base, I’m going to use stickers and/or paints to write phrases and things…maybe a few small pictures…
Got the idea because I really REALLY want a very pretty “Once Upon a Time” wall-word-art piece to hang on my wall, as I’m updating my art — and it doesn’t exist. Saw something similar at HobbyLobby and am making the idea my own :o)
that will be amazing! i’d love to do it with a quote from our wedding invitations – “and so today, my world, it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles…” think i’ll have to hit the goodwill today.
